Coron Day 1 x Our stay at Darayonan Lodge

By Marky - 6:38 AM

Our flight with Cebu Pacific was scheduled at 1:15 PM and we arrived at Busuanga Airport at 2:10 PM.
Our driver was there waiting for us and greeted us with a big smile when we approached him. It took us approximately 30 mins to reach the hotel which, to our delight, was located at the city center. That ride though gave us a positive impression of the place. Where ever we looked, there were greens everywhere, telling us that the area has not been spoiled.
Coron, Palawan has indeed a lot of accommodations you can choose from. From resorts to hostels to the luxurious ones and to the budget-friendly, there is something for any type of traveler. As for me, since we were going to spend most days out, so a budget-friendly accommodation was desirable. The Darayonan Lodge is a friendly Coron accommodation with comfortable amenities perfect for our planned itinerary in Coron. Upon checking on the internet, we found out that the Lodge also offers various Coron Palawan tours. A good plus as we wanted to explore more of Palawan’s tourist attractions. After checking in at Darayonan Lodge, we decided to take a rest in our room. I think our room could accommodate up to four persons since there were three single beds. Our room costs Php 2,250 per night with breakfast already.

We had plenty of room for our stuff and all the basic necessities were provided for.  There was cable TV, the ACU was working, the sheets were clean and the bathroom was well-provisioned (and of course, clean and had hot water  ). cto

After fixing our things, we went straight to Lolo Nonoy's Food Station to have late lunch. Papaitan is our favourite plus their Pork Sisig and Calamares.
After a quick nap, we went outside to explore the lodge. There were two chairs and a table in our room’s balcony so we stayed there to connect to the internet because the connection was slow inside the room. We originally planned to climb Mt. Tapyas to watch the sunset but we didn’t pursue. Nevertheless, I guess our decision wasn’t really that bad because we were able to conserve our energy for the highlight of our trip, the island-hopping tour. The place has a resort feel. It has a swimming pool, a bar, and a restaurant. I also enjoyed being alone in the pool at night before dinner.
We had dinner at KT’s Sinugba sa Balay.
