Skywalk Adventure x Cebu Day 4

Finally got to share our Day 3 but this time in Bohol. We woke up 4am then we picked up by our driver like 5am. Sobrang aga again! Another unforgettable experience with my bestfriend since we got to experience new adventures together for the first time. It was a Monday and the tour actually lasted for 8-9 hours, thanks to Cebu tours for a wonderful day tour package.

The province of Bohol is considered as the tenth largest island of the Philippines and is located in the Central Visayas region. Having said that, it is no wonder that this province holds some of the regal tourist spot of the country. As for this blog post, I will be featuring a day tour to Bohol, often called as a country-side tour which can be done in a day that we availed from Cebu tours.

A quick stop before the Chocolate Hills in Carmen is the town of Bilar known for its own Bilar Manmade Forest. It is said that the manmade forest is planted by Boy Scouts as part of their activities several decades ago. Sobrang ganda! Tourists can take photos at the middle of the road but don’t get too excited. It’s still a main road and speeding vehicles pass by. Jusko po!

Next stop: Philippine Tarsier and Wildlife Sanctuary. Another popular tourist spot of the province is the Philippine Tarsier and Wildlife Sanctuary which is located in Corella. Here, you'll have the chance to see up close the Philippine Tarsier in its natural habitat. Tarsier is one of the smallest primates in the world which only stands 3 to 6 inches. Next stop: Simply Butterflies Conservation Center. Visiting Simply Butterflies is not just about having a look at the pretty butterflies, but also learning about them. The center has very well trained guides to share their knowledge and expertise about butterflies; their varieties, life stages and many more fun facts. Parang field trip nung grade school. haha

Next stop: ATV Ride in Chocolate Hills. Another way to enjoy your Chocolate Hills visit is by going to it by riding an ATV. You can see it closer by driving the ATV to an unpaved road with a little rough terrain, which makes it more exciting!

We went to Graham ATV in Brgy. Buenos Aires, in Carmen Bohol for the ATV rentals. They offer different package rates that can be for 30 minutes up to 4 hours. There is also a PhP 50.00 fee that will go to the barangay. We chose the 1-hour ride package for Php 900 each since our tour guide said that the 8 Sister's Hill is great. After gearing up and testing the ATVs, you will head straight to the first destination which is 3 Sisters' Hill. The view along the way was nice, there were hills and small huts.

Next Stop: The Chocolate Hills Complex. The Chocolate Hills COMPLEX is the main destination for best viewing of the Chocolate Hills. It located in Barangay Buenos Aires, Carmen Bohol.

In order to reach the view deck, one must climb up the 200+ steps. Kakaloka! Here’s the perfect view from the top.

Next Stop: Sevilla Twin Hanging Bridge. I was told by Raymond that the hanging bridge was featured before in one of the teleseryes of ABS-CBN. Aside from the bridge, there are also stalls at the end of the bridge which sells handicraft merchandise, refreshments booths and other souvenir items. There is also an entrance fee for those who wants to cross the bridge which costs P20 per head.

Next stop: Loboc Floating Restaurant. This can’t be something optional if you don’t want to miss a splendid experience in your Bohol country side tour. Imagine yourself enjoying a buffet lunch in a festival themed floating restaurant while enjoying the breeze blowing inside it as it traverses Loboc’s clean river which is surrounded by lush green plants. It was truly an amazing experience that I never expected. Eating lunch has never been this fun and relaxing.

They served typical Filipino food like fried chicken, barbeque, pancit, etc. This made me feel very at home as a local. But frankly, most of the food served only reached the average mark at most but because of the scenic view, party atmosphere and affordability every bite was a delight.

The fun doesn’t stop there because they have a group of singers waiting to serenade you. You can sing and dance along with them!

Next stop: Bohol Phyton Sanctuary. Well, i really don't know how to describe my experience here. I'm really afraid of snakes. Ayoko ng ahas! hahaha.

Next Stop: Baclayon Church. There were a major construction going on with the church’s inside and outside portion. It is one of the oldest church in the Philippines and the local government has done their effort to preserve the church because it is also partially collapsed during the earthquake. We also entered the museo for Php 50 but the cameras are not allowed inside the museum.

Next stop: Blood Compact Shrine. It looks like your typical monument except there’s a breathtaking view behind it. It is located near the beach where Legazpi arrived. It shows the replica of the Sandugo moment between Legazpi and Sikatuna. It is located in Barangay Bool, Tagbilaran City Bohol. After photo taking, we went to shops to buy pasalubongs.
